For many long centuries, Estonians have lived surrounded by nature’s bounty. The forest has always lived its own life and kept to itself.
Eesti And (Estonian Bounty) was founded in autumn 2010 in one of the country’s wonderfully beautiful mushroom-rich forests to bring the woods closer to people. Eesti And was created to offer the fruits of the Estonian forests to everyone whose mouth is watering but who cannot fill their larders, hunter-gatherer-style, for lack of enough time or knowledge about where the berries and mushrooms can be found growing. We do it for you (with attractive packaging included), to make it easier for you to savour these delights in spring and winter, for lunch or for special occasions, sometimes even as a midnight snack!
The mushrooms are picked in various Estonian forests. The pickles are sourced from Estonian cucumber growers and marinated in their native growing areas along the Peipus lakeshore.
Eesti And was named to symbolize Estonia and all that the beautiful land has to offer people the world over – not just quality edibles but good vibes and belief in a bright future. Eesti And is 100% natural, Estonian in origin, clean and pure, wholesome and healthful.
In November 2011, experts praised our mushroom products for their flavour which they called reminiscent of grandmother’s preserves. Four of our most flavour-packed products (salted lactarius mushrooms, marinated lactarius mushroom, salted chanterelle and marinated chanterelle) were also awarded the Recognized Estonian Flavour label – the Estonian swallow symbol.
